About Us
Navigate Physical Therapy opened in June of 2020. Yes, we opened right in the middle of a pandemic. When the company Becki had worked for 13+ years abruptly closed with a one-day notice, she was concerned for her patients and the Zion, Winthrop Harbor, Beach Park, and Wadsworth communities. They deserved quality PT close to home. It took about 3 months to get the required permits and licenses before Navigate Physical Therapy opened. A few months later, Samantha joined our team. Our entire team lives in the Zion-Benton community and being a part of that community is important to us. We truly are locally owned and operated.
We pride ourselves on being different. At Navigate we believe that your health is personal and not corporate. Over the years we have all seen the changes in health care as companies merge and become large conglomerates: profits over relationships, long wait times for appointments, and feeling like a number instead of a person. Many PT providers have large rooms with lots of basic exercise equipment. Often these are not needed for your recovery, but to fill your time while a PT is simultaneously working with multiple patients or while you are being supervised by an unlicensed aide or tech.
The Navigate Physical Therapy difference is obvious in our promises to you:
- We will help navigate your path to less pain, better mobility, and more enjoyment of life by:
- Only licensed providers will work with you. No students, aides, or techs.
- No double booking. Each provider will only have one patient at a time.
- We will be actively involved in your treatment, including hands-on/manual therapy.
- We will be up-to-date on treatments and research to best help you.
